Scorpio (fixed water)

Scorpio’s glyph is the Scorpion. Implying precision or sharpness with depth, demanding respect for the power of such a small creature. As a water sign Scorpios have powerful emotional depth, often this is felt as a gut level knowing. Scorpio is fixed-water, the fixedy indicating a watching and assessing of the situation before expressing. This water sign is not known for emotional expression. Scorpio feels their way into situations with their instinctive and intuitive knowing, needing time feel the situation before communicating. They're selective with whom they'll share their understanding.

This natural instinct gives Scorpio the reputation of being a detective or investigator. Able to go depths to get to the truth guided by their intuitive knowing. 

Traditionally ruled by Mars, a planet of desire, Scorpio can tap into this depth through the inner heart. Scorpio’s modern ruler is Pluto, instigator of transformation. Depending on where Scorpio is found in the chart, there’s a natural tendency to offer depth and transformation to that dimension of life - be it in relationship, home, creativity, or work.

We can thank this magnetic sign for contributing courage to whatever needs uncovering. Life requires transformation whether we like it or not, and Scorpio is a skilled alchemist in this process.
