Authenticity is Key: A Perspective of Uranus in Gemini

There are many ways to walk the inner path: journaling, meditation, therapy, contemplation, and of course astrology.  In and of itself, astrology is a practice of connecting with authenticity. Having someone reflect back to you the parts of your self, can feel obvious, but also quite validating.

As Uranus moves through Gemini, the higher mind is awakening us to our true selves. Connecting the channel between the soul and personality creates a stronger link, further awakening the freedom to live our full expression. Connecting the unseen aspect of our selves with the very human aspect is an important part of the experience of being here. As Uranus seeks to awaken the communication between our physical being and higher being, this in turn extends to awakening our communication. Words hold power, and awakened communication benefits everything from relationships, to consciousness, to manifestation.

When we engage in the search for the higher self we bring our soul into our awareness making conscious our expression.  When we’re not living from the higher self, Uranus is one of the forces that seeks to free us from those places where we’re trapped or living from values that don’t represent who we are on a soul level.

Living unconsciously means living from the duty, tradition, and obligations that were imprinted by the various societal and familial influences that are an inherent part of the human experience. Examining which of those influences resonate with the authenticity of our soul, and those that are imposed on us and still influence our decisions is the journey. This is the inner work.

Making choices to feel safe, secure, and feed our need to belong are very real parts of the human experience. At the same time, eventually these choices surface for examination, and if we choose to ignore reflecting about our path and our own authenticity - there are times that Uranus will appear with “events” to shock us out of the trance of our conditioning.

With the Uranus ingression into Gemini, there’s a new energy on the scene, and depending on where Gemini falls in your chart, a specific dimension of life is being triggered. For instance, with Uranus entering  Gemini in specific areas of the chart, there can be differing expressions at play:

1st house Uranus in Gemini: freedom in the connection to the self and the freedom in your own unique expression

2nd house Uranus in Gemini: awakening to my worth, intellect, and freedom in how I generate prosperity and the unique ideas from which I create resources; my unique perspective on value

3rd house Uranus in Gemini: freeing the mind and strengthening the awakening of the communication of the higher mind to the human mind, and my unique perspective

4th house Uranus in Gemini: awakening to my roots, heritage, and the influence of my ancestry on my personal freedom

5th house Uranus in Gemini: unique ideas, unusual intellect, and the authentic expression of creativity through the exchange of ideas

6th house Uranus in Gemini: contributing authentically, and freedom to form  connections through service

7th house Uranus in Gemini: authenticity and freedom in relationship; authentic connection in relationship

8th house Uranus in Gemini: connecting with our antennae, channeling intuition, clear expression of the third eye

9th house Uranus in Gemini: a renewed search for higher meaning and sharing these ideas

10th house Uranus in Gemini: unusual public reputation or unique public communication

11th house Uranus in Gemini: unique tribe or these exchange of ideas or connection with an unusual group or community

12th house Uranus in Gemini: are you hiding your uniqueness? Freeing subconscious patterning, or awakening to the sensitivity of messages influencing the subconscious; awakening to some sense of psychic ability or lighting inspiration

All in all Uranus wants to break things down, to free something for the purposes of ending feeling trapped. When we’re unconscious or unaware of the spaces in our lives where we’re not free, Uranus comes in to disrupt and liberate.
